Lantmännen Unibake wants to be market leader in sustainability. The international bakery group has an objective to reduce its climate impact by 33 % by 2020. To help achieve this objective, Lantmännen Unibake has appointed Gustaf Tynelius as Sustainability Manager.
Climate and sustainability are already key elements in Lantmännen Unibake’s strategy and by appointing a Sustainability Manager the bakery group now increases its focus on sustainability in four main areas: Ingredients, energy, transport and packaging.
- We are very much aware of our responsibility to reducing our impact on the environment, and we take this responsibility very seriously. Therefore, we strive to work with a sustainable mindset in all areas of our business, and here our new Sustainability Manager will play an important role, says CEO of Lantmännen Unibake Bent Pultz Larsen.
Sustainability Manager Gustaf Tynelius will be responsible for implementing Lantmännen Unibake’s climate strategy, which includes climate labeling of products, optimizing energy efficiency and ensuring an environmentally responsible transportation and logistics.

We have developed a 100-step program aimed at reducing Lantmännen Unibake's carbon footprint, and by appointing Gustaf Tynelius as new Sustainability Manager we take another important step towards our goal, says Bent Pultz Larsen.
In addition, Lantmännen Unibake recently signed the UN Global Compact, the world's largest initiative for corporate responsibility as well as the UN-led Seal the Deal Campaign, which aims to galvanize political will and public support for reaching a comprehensive global climate agreement in Copenhagen in December.
