Meet John Tore, our Product & Development Manager

- and the creative master mind behind some of our best selling bakery products

New ideas run in his blood!

 

John Tore Syversen has worked as Product and Development Manager in Lantmännen Unibake since 2003. From his base in the bakery in Langhus, Norway he has developed some of our best selling bakery products.

  

How do you get from a new idea to a new bakery product ?

Well, this is where all the fun begins as experimenting is a huge part of product developement. For me, the trick is to find out how new trends can be integrated in our products. How do we make a hot dog bread with rye that children and young people still would want to eat? Or how can we use the cup cake trend in our assortment?

 

Where do you experiment?

We have facilities here at Lantmännen Unibake's bakery in Langhus, Norway, but I also use my kitchen at home. If I get a good idea and can't wait to try it out, I spend my weekends testing new recipes.

 

Being a baker, I have all the equipment needed at home !
