Reducing climate impact

We have calculated the emissions of green house gases in the whole life cycle from field to fork for four of our main products in accordance with the globally accepted EPD-framework (Environmental Product Declaration).

 

All activities of importance in farming and production of ingredients, processing, storing at wholesaler and in store and finally preparation along with all transports in between are included. This is a way for us to find out where the main emissions occur in the life cycle and by that knowing where to focus our effort.

 

We think it is important to make this information available to our customers in an objective and trustworthy manner and by doing so contribute with knowledge within the food and climate issue.

 

  • The emissions of green house gases when producing one kilo of Breakfast rolls corresponds to 1.1 kilo of carbon dioxide.

We have calculated the emissions of green house gases for these four products because they are some of our best sellers and represent both business to consumer and business to business products in national as well as international markets.
