Food that is produced but not eaten is a costly waste of resources with a huge environmental impact. Before we bake our products, we work closely with our partners to do precise forecasting and minimize overproduction. During the baking process – in which waste is an undesirable but inevitable side effect – we have found ways to utilize 100% of our bakery waste. 75% is used for animal feed. 25% is used as material for biofuel production.
