What we do matters. As bakery products are consumed every day, we have a unique position to affect both nutritional habits and environmental challenges all over the world.
Lantmännen Unibake is owned by 25,000 Swedish farmers in the Lantmännen cooperative. We have built our company on respect for natural resources and raw materials. Our legacy is our motivation to pass on our proud baking traditions and run a transparent business.
From beginning to end across the value chain we take responsibility from field to fork. We demand raw material traceability and integrity to take control from A to Z in the baking process. We reduce our levels of carbon emissions and are switching to renewable energy sources in our bakeries. We reduce bakery waste, improve our packaging process and reuse and recycle resources as much as possible. We deliver industry high standards for product quality and food safety to earn and build trust. And we innovate to offer more healthy bread alternatives rich in fibre and wholegrains without compromising great taste.
Global challenges such as poverty, inequality and environmental degradation are often interconnected. With our code of conduct we want to set industry standards for creating decent working conditions, whilst not harming the environment. This applies equally to our suppliers, their sub-suppliers and us.
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a collection of 17 global goals set by the United Nations General Assembly in 2015 for the year 2030.
Lantmännen Unibake supports UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, including those related to good health and well-being (SDG 3), responsible production and consumption (SDG 12) and climate action (SDG 13).
