Hot dogs are the UK’s fastest growing menu item, nudging scampi and chips out of the top 20 most popular dishes. They feature as a key revenue driver on 85% more menus, with sales at lunch time growing by 54%, with additional uplifts for dinner (35%) and snacking occasions (22%).
The past year has recorded an increase in consumer demand for hot dogs - 22% in branded restaurants and 17% in pubs.
