Umami Burger

With sautéd mushrooms and melted cheese

Ingredients:

1 piece Euro-Bake Mfg. # 5010 or # 5150 Pretzel Bun 
1  Ground Beef Patty, grilled (4-6 ounce) 
1 slice Mild Cheddar Cheese 
3-4 ounces Mixed Fresh Mushrooms (shiitakes, button, porcini, oyster, portabella)
Romaine Lettuce, rinsed
1 tablespoon Pickled Red Onion Relish (homemade or jar)
Mayonnaise
Truffle Oil 

Directions:

Toast or heat Euro-Bake Pretzel Bun for 2-3 minutes. In frying pan, sauté cleaned mushrooms with a small amount of butter and salt and pepper. Set aside.  Melt cheese on top of beef patty. In small bowl, add a few drops, to taste, of truffle oil to mayonnaise. Spread the truffled mayonnaise on the bottom half of bun.  Layer the lettuce and grilled patty with cheese. Top with sautéed mushrooms and pickled red onion. Spread top half of bun with extra truffle mayonnaise, if desired.
Makes 1 sandwich.
